Sat right on the FROW....from the comfort of my sofa with my laptop, I have been watching as many catwalk shows as the internet will allow me for London Fashion Week! I am very jealous of all the fashionista's who have been in attendance, but with my deadlines looming it would have been near impossible to go myself. I have had just as much fun from home though and with the live streaming, it almost felt as if I was there.
The designer who inspired this blog post is Osman, his catwalk finished minutes ago but it was 2010 when I first discovered his amazing talent. On a spontaneous trip to London, wondering around the V&A mum and I were asked if we fancied watching a fashion show....for free!! I thought I'd hit the jackpot, so naturally we went along with no questions asked.
I have luckily discovered the film from the catwalk here..Osman-V&A Show and here's us at the show too......
We were so lucky to be asked by the organisers if we wanted to attend, as it was a great show and definitely worth hanging around for! It was also our first fashion show, so extra exciting!
It was an amazing collection and whilst I was still a novice with my camera back then, the images are pretty good considering. The video does show the collection off better but these are live from the second row!!
The pinks.....
This is one of my favourites, it is so elaborate and fun!
This black dress above had a beautiful collar to compliment the flare of the skirt, if you look on the video you can see it walk the catwalk in more detail, but it is a gorgeous piece.
The final collection.....
So as you can see it is a stunning collection and a credit to the designer, if you look how he has grown to appear in Fashion Week today it is a great fashion journey. It is nice to know I was a part of the journey, to be witnessing the starting out for the designer. Watching the live stream today, you can see the classic design details that flow throughout all his work year on year.
So here it is, my first slice of Fashion Week from 2010 to 2013!!
