The cold front

So its finally freezing in Manchester! I caught the dreaded flu that has been sweeping through uni this month so life was put on hold whilst I hid under the duvet trying to recover.  I was cut off from the world for two days, no uni, no socialising and no fashion!! My saviour came in the form on Instyle and Look magazine when my friends finally came to rescue me. 

When I finally felt part of the living again I had a mountain of uni work to catch up on, so I decided to do the fun stuff first...I designed my very own business card, how fancy!

I did however manage to get out the house for a birthday party and I found a lovely dress HIDING under a mountain of other clothes bursting out of my wardrobe...I have to say I was unsure about the bright colours but hey, I embraced it and wore the dress like a true fashionista! And the results were great, I haven't had so many compliments in a long time.  So this means that I have a new saviour in my wardrobe, for those times when you just need to look good.

With all this boring work to do, Tilly has unfortunately come off worse and has been neglected, so I vow to dazzle her with some fashion pieces this weekend as I journey home for some inspiration.  I shall be looking at wedding dresses and all things girly, whilst sneaking in a naughty shopping trip!

So watch this space....Tilly is about to be fashionised!!

Blank Page Nerves

So here it is, my first blog post!

As I write this, I am also writing my first fashion feature for a local newspaper back in my home town.  I was given 10 different garments and accessories and asked to write about how they are on trend, any celebrities that have been seen in similar items and how they each fit into Autumn/Winter 2012.

I was always adament I would not get sucked into the writing world but it is in my genes and as I sit here writing both pieces, I'm actually finding that I love it !

Once my article is approved it will be published mid November so that's exciting, my first taste of fashion writing in the real world. 

I am in my final year of studying and I have my head stuck in a book constantly, so this shall be my sanctuary, where I can escape and write about what I love...Fashion !
